Hi. I took the class today, and while the instructor seems very knowledgeable, I believe the course could benefit from being more focused on basic woodworking. We jumped straight into using tools like a router, bandsaw, and drill press, which, while valuable, aren’t exactly basic. When I think of a basic woodworking class, I expect an introduction to fundamental tools like a hammer, hand saw, miter saw, circular saw, table saw, drill and bits, and sanders. The class should also cover essential techniques such as marking wood, using a square to ensure straight and accurate cuts, proper sanding methods, and overall foundational woodworking principles.
